Because we are not God, that's why.

In order to truly believe in man made global warming, you must believe
that the entire earth has had a steady climate and temperature until man
created combustion engines. That means if on this day, the average
temperature in Tampa is 73 degrees, then it was 73 degrees one hundred
years ago, and 73 degrees one thousand years ago, and 73 degrees ten
   thousand years ago.

Of course, we know that isn't the case. The earth has been under change
since the time God put it here. It's like death; it's unavoidable.
