Bitching about America, Raul       > Castro finally learned, does not do any good either.       >              It is interesting you say this, but this is not a reality. I assume you       are posting from France which has a history of bloody kings including       Napolean.              Much of the planning for the Bolshevik revolution took place in France.              And how much change has occurred in Cuba in the past 20 years? Changes       that would normally take other countries hundreds of years.              Please do not be naive by calling these communists "dictators." Although       the leader have much control over the party, it is an overstatement       at this piont to categorize it as a dictatorship, any more so then       the United States is a corpora-tacracy.              The rulers are not some crazy dictators. They are attempting to       stay true to the principles of Marxism, which has numerous benefits for       its citizens, just as capitalism has numerous pitfalls for the average       man. Do we need billionaires flying around with 20 jets       (and even fighter jets), while these people you mention are starving?       And you put this blame on Cuba? In the US you are still in trouble if       you have medical problems and are not rich--it is not like somewhat       socialist France.              The leadership of Cuba has given the Cubans numerous opportunities to       leave the society freely over the years. Although I am not sure       of all their motivations for this, your reasoning is strange.              Cuba, Soviet Union, Soviet Union under Stalin, China under Mao,       China Now, North Korea, Iran...these are all very different from       each other. The Stalinist Soviet Union for instance is very different from       what the majority of Russians, even communist Russians wanted. And       Stalin is a reaction to very serious actions from the West.              Cuba has had some rough times, but never has been as you seem to be       describing.                     >       >       > http://news.yahoo.com/govt-let-cubans-travel-freely-144513168.html       >       > Govt to let Cubans travel freely              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
