A government never elected by the people is simply not capable of
   speaking for them.

The horrendous mortality among coal workers in recent years is clear
evidence that the Chinese government is doing a terrible job
protecting workers rights. Of course, when they won't uphold basic
human rights such as free speech, why would we expect them to do any
   better with workers rights?

And to this day, anyone who dares speak out against this unelected
government is quickly shipped off for "re-education".
