   Rice and Gates pressed the administration's case during appearances on   
   five Sunday talks shows — Rice on "Fox News Sunday," CBS' "Face the   
   Nation" and NBC's "Meet the Press," and Gates on ABC's "This Week" and   
   "Late Edition" on CNN.
