In the case of Colorado and many other US states, their governments and the
people once again call for more of what consistently fails and leads to more
   gun violence.

Compare gun homicide rates in the US with that in the European countries
cited and you will see which laws are associated with lower rates of gun
   violence.

Is that the deplorable evil of gun homicide rates that are a fraction of
   those in the US

That doesn't happen in the US - why do you suppose it will happen in Europe
if they are foolish enough to follow the US example?

Exactly right - we should not flee from the evil consequences of inadequate
gun laws, we must confront them, and that is exactly what is being done in
most countries, with one notable exception.

How has it "worked" in the US?

Then why does the US have such a high firearm homicide are compared to most
   other developed Western countries?

They certainly have quite a record in the US, but unfortunately the record
is for going postal and shooting family and fellow workers.

   > WHY IS THAT SUCH A HARD TRUTH TO ACCEPT?

Probably because it isn't the truth. It is just your propaganda rant.
