XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, mn.politics, sac.politics       XPost: alt.government.employees       From: crybaby.alex@diapers.poo              Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Sunday had a strong message        to Minnesota officials as tensions simmer between the administration       and state leaders: “Grow up.”              Speaking on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday, Noem called for       Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey to “tone down the       rhetoric” in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of Renee Good by       an ICE officer.              “They’ve extremely politicized and inappropriately talked about       this situation on the ground in their city. They’ve inflamed the       public. They’ve encouraged the kind of destruction and violence       that we’ve seen in Minneapolis these last several days,” Noem said.              She continued, “I would encourage them to grow up, get some maturity,       act like people who are responsible, who want people to be safe and       the right thing to be done. When you use the kind of language that       you use against law enforcement officers, they lose their       credibility.”              Good was shot and killed in her car by an ICE officer Wednesday,       sparking protests throughout the country. The Trump administration       has said the officer acted in self-defense, but Democrats across       the country have said there was no clear justification for the       officer to open fire.              https://www.politico.com/news/2026/01/11/noem-walz-frey-grow-up-       00721363              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
