CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — A longtime employee with the St. Charles County       Ambulance District was charged Tuesday with possession of child sexual       abuse material.              Craig Meckfessel, of Moscow Mills, was charged with three counts of       possession of child sexual abuse material by the Lincoln County       Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The ambulance district said Meckfessel was       a director of facilities until his retirement on Aug. 31, 2025, and had no       contact with patients.              According to the probable cause statement, the investigation started when       police received a tip from the National Center For Missing and Exploited       Children about suspected child sexual abuse material uploaded to a Google       account. Google located 25 additional tips about the same account with       approximately 10,000 files of child sexual abuse material.              Police said the account was registered to a "Craig Fessel" with two email       addresses and two phone numbers.              Police linked the addresses and phone numbers to Meckfessel and conducted       a search warrant at his home on Tuesday. During the search, police found a       password list that included the email address connected to the Google       account.              In arguing for an increased bond, the probable cause statement said       officers found three checks written to Meckfessel from his own retirement       account. The checks totalled approximately $2 million, which officers said       could be used to flee the area. A judge ordered Meckfessel to be held       without bond.              https://www.ksdk.com/article/news/crime/former-st-charles-county-abulance-       district-employee-charged-child-sexual-abuse-material/63-3239da3c-e4ad-       4531-97ee-16a9a6ee5357              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
