XPost: misc.immigration.usa, rec.food.cooking, sac.politics       XPost: stl.general       From: deathpenalty@illegal.aliens              PERRYVILLE, Mo. — A man died while stuck in an industrial oven at a cereal       plant in Perryville, Missouri, on Thursday, according to police.              Police, paramedics and firefighters all tried to help the victim, but were       unable to access the man before he died, a written statement from the       Perryville Police Department said.              Police officers were sent to the Gilster Mary Lee Cereal Plant in the 600       block of Old St. Mary's Road minutes after 3 p.m. on Thursday to help the       man, the statement said.              Less than 20 minutes after officers were sent to the scene to help, the       Perry County Coroner was requested at the scene.              "Through a concerted effort between the police department and the       Coroner’s Office, the male was positively identified as Nicolas Lopez       Gomez, a 38-year-old Guatemalan national who was working under the alias       of Edward Avila," the police statement said.              Investigators do not suspect foul play at this time.              "(Gomez) was in the process of using a power washer on the machine from       the outside," a police spokesperson said. "It is unclear at this time how       he ended up inside the machine."              The coroner stated that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration,       the federal agency responsible for enforcing workplace standards and       conditions, would investigate the incident.              "Our offices will work with them to determine how this occurred,” Perry       County Coroner Meghan Ellis said.              A spokesman for OSHA confirmed it has an ongoing investigation into the       incident and said it would not release additional information until the       investigation concluded.              5 on Your Side has reached out the Gilster-Mary Lee Corporation for a       statement, but there was no immediate response.              This story will be updated with the latest information available.
