The Donald is using his ICE squad to attack any area that did not
support his reelection. Things are not "running smoothly" in red
areas, but they're a lot better because ICE agents are all in the
cities led by Democrats. For example, I live near Dallas, and I have
never even *seen* an ICE agent. I will assure you that, should the
Donald throw 3,000 ICE agents into Dallas, plucking people off the
streets, things would get very rocky very quickly. That won't happen
because Texas is mostly red. We say: "Yes, Mr. President, yes, Mr.
President, three bags full, Mr. President! Baaaa! Baaaa!"

Remember that Lincoln's most famous executive order: the Emancipation
Proclamation, only applied to slaves in states that were a part of the
Confederacy. States where slavery was legal but remaining in the
Union (Kentucky, for example) weren't impacted. Was slavery, then,
   "running smoothly" in those states?

We'll have to wait and see what happens in the mid-term elections.
Who the fuck knows what happens next, but "running smoothly" is not a
descriptor I'd apply to the United States at this time. Dunno how
much faith you put in the polls, but about 3/4 of respondents would
agree that things are *not* all balloons and butterflies... and you
   pick the poll.
