I, like you, don't live in a city under ICE occupation where we watch
the daily violence first hand, but when people are gunned down and it
plays on the national news an hour or two later, it has a deep impact.
When masked ICE agents grab 5-year-old kids out of their driveways,
it's the video that sticks with people. You can say: "His father
abandoned him," all you want, but that image of the tearful mother
pleading with the ice agents not to take her toddler is what people
will remember. I can't even estimate how many times I've seen the
nurse shot repeatedly... from 5 different angles and in slow motion as
   the commentator describes the video.

The ICE people would do well to lose the masks. We see the faces and
names of the victims. People go on camera holding their pictures of
the smiling person with her son... and she is *human*. Then they show
a pvideo clip of a masked ICE agent in a full tactical costume beating
a woman on the street and throwing tear gas... they aren't human.

You've lost the optics battle, dudes. Heck, the best thing that even
*happened* for Lemon's career was getting arrested. The pictures of
journalists being handcuffed on camera will make their careers! Their
income just quadrupled! (And the charges lack a snowball's chance.)
