   The democratic socialist’s mom, Mira Nair, attended a swanky afterparty   
   at convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell’s house for her film   
   “Amelia,” that was also attended by former President Bill Clinton and   
   Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, according to an email sent by publicist Peggy   
   Siegal to Epstein on Oct. 21, 2009.   
      
   “Just left Ghislaine’s townhouse…after party for film,” the early   
   morning message said.   
      
   “Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos were there…Jean Pigozzi, director MIra   
   Nair…etc. Film received tepid reaction though women like it much   
   more...Hillary Swank and [Richard] Gere are at stupid party in   
   Bloomingdales cheap sportswear department...very weird,” the email   
   continued.

   taking photography classes at Harvard University.[8] He was her   
   lecturer, and they married in 1981 in India, in a traditional Punjabi

   On 29 March 1989, Nair met her second husband, Indo-Ugandan political   
   scientist Mahmood Mamdani, in Nairobi, Kenya, while doing research for   
   the film Mississippi Masala. She had read his book From Citizen to   
   Refugee, about the expulsion of Asians.[9] Nair moved in with Mamdani on   
   campus at Makerere University, where he was teaching. They married in   
   1991, and their son, Zohran Mamdani, was born in Kampala, Uganda, in the   
   same year.
