XPost: alt.louisiana, alt.society.liberalism, sac.politics       XPost: school.teachers       From: losers@dnc.org              A middle school counselor has been found dead after being accused of       sending a string of creepy text messages to a 14-year-old former       student.              Quinton Dixon, 44, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside       the cafeteria of an abandoned Baton Rouge, La, school on Jan. 28.              The former Westdale Middle School counselor was placed on leave on Jan.       15 – just weeks before he was found dead. Coroners have ruled his death       a suicide.              Dixon, who worked for the school district since August 2022, allegedly       sent a string of disturbing messages to the girl on Instagram between       November and January, according to an arrest warrant seen by The       Advocate.              He allegedly asked the girl, a former student, if she had a boyfriend.       He then allegedly said she was attractive, hinted at a future romantic       relationship and offered to drive her home.              Dixon still sent the messages even though he knew she was in high       school, according to the warrant.              Cops described the messages as being “consistent with grooming behavior       in pursuit of an intimate relationship with the minor victim,” The       Advocate reported.              The girl told cops about the messages after Dixon allegedly tried to       talk to her while she was walking home from school.              The supposed texts were later posted online, but it’s not known who       shared them, according to the Louisiana newspaper.              The messages were also handed over to the school, which led to Dixon       being placed on leave.              Dixon faced four counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile before he       took his own life.              “Today, the East Baton Rouge Parish School System was notified of the       passing of an employee,” East Baton Rouge school officials told WBRZ-TV       after being told about Dixon’s death.              https://nypost.com/2026/01/29/us-news/school-counselor-found-dead-after-a       llegedly-sending-flirty-texts-to-teen/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
