XPost: seattle.politics, seattle.general, talk.politics.misc       From: x@y.com              >Not at all.       >You previously wrote, "... I programmed my old open source reader to not       include       >previously quoted material back in 2001 ..." yet you include quoted material       >when it suits you.       >       >Stopping the lies would gain you credibility.              If I simply hit "reply", it strips quoted material from the post to       which I respond. If, OTOH, I select text, it includes the text I have       selected whether quoted or not. Is that why yer knickers are in a       wad?              You're being deliberately obtuse about a simple matter, Headley. I       dislike threads where the quoted material becomes tedious. I also       disapprove of the "interruptive" style of reply wherein the respondent       pastes his or her writing into the existing post at various points.       To that end, I wrote some simple selection logic (IF-THEN-ELSE) into       the source code and ran it through the C compiler. Any sharp high       school programmer could do the same given source code.              NNTP newsreaders are pretty simple... the NNTP protocol is absolutely       archaic.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
