XPost: stl.general, alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, sac.politics       XPost: soc.culture.african.american       From: someone@outlook.com              FERGUSON, Mo. — Police are still searching for the suspects in the deadly       shooting of an innocent rideshare driver last week.              Shannon O'Brien, 28, was killed Friday afternoon in Ferguson at a parking       lot off Windward Court. St. Louis County police is leading the       investigation at the request of Ferguson police.              RELATED: Woman found fatally shot Friday afternoon in Ferguson was ride-       share driver              Seeing a car riddled with bullet holes and broken glass — a remnant of the       shooting still left in the neighborhood — one neighbor described a chain       of events she believed happen.              "It's like as soon as they opened the door, and they got out, and it was       just like a war," she said.              The neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous, said three men were riding       in O'Brien's car with guns. As she pulled into the parking lot, they got       of the car and got into a shooting with several men walking by.              "They had some big guns out here," she said.              Police have not confirmed any details regarding suspects or the full       nature of the shooting, but said when police responded to the "shots       fired" call, they found O'Brien suffering from gunshot wounds. She died at       the scene and investigators said she was not the intended target.              Neighbors were shocked by the violent shooting, some saying they heard       more than two dozen gunshots.              "Condolences to her family. That is so sad. She was really young," said       one woman who lives in the Ferguson neighborhood.              "Her family is really sad about this and I know they're heartbroken       because I would be, too. I feel for them. It's so sad that this happened,"       said another neighbor.              O'Brien's parents were too grief-stricken to talk on-camera, but wanted to       emphasize the memory of their daughter. Her obituary described her as "an       amazing person who loved her family, friends and animals — especially her       beloved bunny, Torrance."              "It's totally unacceptable and insane. Our community needs to do better,"       said another concerned neighbor.              "I'm hoping and praying that police will find all of the people who were       involved in this crime. I also pray that the innocent driver gets       justice," said another woman.              A celebration of Shannon's life will be held on Saturday at Weber and       Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville, Illinois.              Anyone with information about the deadly shooting should call St. Louis       County police or CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS.              https://www.ksdk.com/article/news/crime/was-just-like-a-war-rideshare-       driver-gunned-down-in-ferguson-was-unintended-target/63-4c71a2b3-f7dc-       4e92-938b-116b94becd10              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
