(FOX26) — A woman who went missing following a       crash in Merced County has been found.              The California Highway Patrol was called to the site of a crash of an       RZR off-road vehicle that went into the Delta Mendota Canal on January       28th.              Although the vehicle was recovered later that day, the       passenger—believed at the time to be Lupita Lizbeth       Zuniga-Ontiveros—could not be found.              Over the next several days, the Merced County Sheriff’s Office conducted       extensive search efforts by air, land, and water, with additional help       from the missing woman’s family and friends.              After eleven days, a body surfaced in the canal and was recovered and       taken to the Merced County Coroner’s Office.              The Coroner’s Office confirmed the identity of 21-year-old Lupita       Lizbeth Zuniga-Ontiveros.              A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to help pay for her funeral.
