   A deadly accident happened earlier today in Savannah, Georgia. The   
   accident was caused by an illegal immigrant fleeing ICE who ran a red   
   light and plowed his car into another car being driven by a special   
   education teacher named Linda Davis.   
      
   Shortly before 7:45 a.m., agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement   
   were trying to pull over the man, Oscar Vasquez Lopez, 38, according to   
   the Chatham County Police Department.   
      
   Originally from Guatemala, Mr. Lopez was issued a final order of removal   
   by a federal judge in 2024, according to the Department of Homeland   
   Security. Officers were trying to apprehend him in Savannah when he “fled   
   the scene, making a reckless U-turn and running a red light, colliding   
   into a civilian vehicle,” according to a statement by the agency.   
      
   The crash occurred outside a public school, Herman W. Hesse K-8 School,   
   which serves about 1,000 students, the police said. There were no classes   
   on Monday because of the Presidents’ Day holiday, but it was a planning   
   day for teachers, according to the school’s website.   
      
   The police said the teacher in the other vehicle was the only occupant.   
   She was Linda Davis, a special-education teacher at the school, according   
   to local education officials.   
      
   ICE agents tried to pull Lopez over for a traffic stop after seeing him   
   get into a vehicle. He initially complied and then tried to flee, making a   
   U-turn and running a red light.   
      
   After the crash, Lopez was also taken to the hospital but his injuries   
   were not life threatening. He's now facing charges of vehicular homicide.   
   He also apparently didn't have a valid driver's license. The ICE press   
   release about this makes a point of directly connecting the fleeing   
   suspect to Democratic messages about resisting ICE enforcement of   
   immigration laws.   
      
   “This vehicular homicide is an absolute tragedy and deadly consequence of   
   politicians and the media constantly demonizing ICE officers and   
   encouraging those here illegally to resist arrest — a felony,” said   
   Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “These dangerous   
   tactics are putting people’s lives at risk. Fleeing from and resisting   
   federal law enforcement is not only a crime but extraordinarily dangerous   
   and puts oneself, our officers and innocent civilians at risk. Now, an   
   innocent bystander has lost their life."   
      
   This dangerous attempt to evade arrest comes after sanctuary politicians   
   held webinars and provided resources and tips for how to openly defy ICE:   
      
   Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hosted a webinar in February providing tips for   
   illegal aliens to evade arrests at homes, workplaces or in public.   
   Dan Goldman posted a video online calling on illegal aliens to make a plan   
   for ICE encounters.   
   Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass issued multilingual flyers and online   
   resources advising illegal aliens on how to evade arrest.   
   California Governor Gavin Newsom released guides and sanctuary laws   
   advising illegal aliens how to recognize ICE, block entry and defy arrest.   
   We are once again calling on sanctuary politicians, agitators, and the   
   media to turn the temperature down and stop calling for violence and   
   resistance against ICE law enforcement.   
      
   If ICE had killed someone pursuing a suspect, it would be the lead story   
   in every newspaper right now. But so far the NY Times and the Atlanta   
   Journal Constitution are the only major outlets to mention it. All the
