   Liberal satirist:  "[something snarky and insulting and *funny*]"   
      
   Right-wingnut satirist:  "Oh, yeah?  Yeah?  Well, [something leaden, sullen and   
   *NOT* funny]"   
      
      
   Instead of "liberal satirist," I could just write "satirist."  The other is   
   "reactive, sullen, plodding right-wingnut satirist-wannabe."   
      
   That's just how it is.
