   I start a software company that is wildly successful.  The software is used by   
   millions and it greatly improves their welfare.  They happily buy the software   
   because their welfare improvement is greater than from any alternate use of the   
   money.  That means they're better off.  I'm better off because they give me   
   their money.  The company goes public, and my shares become worth billions.   
      
   wydell is no worse off than before I started the company (unless she had a   
   competing company that went bust because mine took all the market share, and   
   that's absolutely inconceivable).  She may even be better off if she bought my   
   excellent product and made her life better.   
      
   wydell has no legitimate reason to be unhappy with my increase in wealth, given   
   that it didn't come at her expense.  And she has NO valid claim on any part of   
   my wealth.  She can start her own company and see if she can do the same.
