   Actually, this would seem to be to protect the officer and to avoid   
   introducing yet more variables into the situation. Seems entirely reasonable

   They can still film... they just have to keep clear of where the officer is   
   attempting to do their job.   
      
   30 feet is NOTHING. Even cell phones can easily capture the action at that   
   distance.
