   Aug. 12 (UPI) -- The ongoing transformation of Earth's atmosphere,   
   fueled by runaway greenhouse gas emissions, will shrink the cooling   
   effects of small- and medium-sized eruptions by as much as 75 percent,

   They are saying that volcanoes spewing CO2 will nullify the nuclear   
   winter type of cooling of all the dust and particles in the air....   
      
   But how will the sunlight get to the CO2 to create any warming? and   
   doesn't the CO2 buffer the energy and just slow the uptake and the   
   release of the energy that they suggest is causing some kind of long   
   term warming?   
      
   If CO2 is bad then why do plants need it? Won't more CO2 cause more   
   plant growth which will deplete the CO2. The CO2 is necessary for the   
   plants to grow, since their wood and other straw and such is all built   
   on a carbon structure...  without more CO2 you can't grow more plants
