The Financial Business Analyst is assigned to large projects and works closely
with the client, project management, developers and data configuration
specialists to identify data configuration requirements and software
requirement gaps and enhancements in our existing product suite that must be
modified to meet contractual and client requirements. The Financial Business
Analyst must know and understand the client product and serve as a product
expert as part of their core job duties. The Financial Business Analyst must
also possess strong accounting and financial skills. The worker must have
strong written and verbal communication skills. The worker must be able to
communicate with business and technical staff alike and be able to manage to
scope and contractual commitments. This person must have a strong understanding
 of both software development and financial and cash management (point of sale)
 fundamentals. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Practical experience and knowledge of structured software development life
cycle methodologies and techniques
• Practical experience identifying and capturing software requirements
• Proven analytical skills
• Proven financial management skills and experience including accounting,
financial consolidation, distribution and reconciliation
• Proven skills with retail cash management functions of software systems 
• Proven written/verbal communication skills 
• Proven presentation and facilitation skills
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in either information technology,
finance, or accounting
• Motor Vehicle or state government experience desired but not required
• Three or more years of practical experience is required utilizing relational
databases, in one or more of the following
o Accounting and/or financial analysis
o Business requirements gathering and documenting for financial systems
o Functional requirements analysis and documentation
o Data analysis and ability to read and understand data models
o Programming/Report development
o Quality Assurance/functional testing
o Large project experience
o Served as lead or experienced analyst on a mid or large sized project
• Experience working on a team with variable responsibilities
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Proven organizational skills
• Experience working on projects through production / Go Live implementation 
• Experience working with and implementing COTS/MOTS solutions with fixed
price, fixed timeline constraints
• Practical experience and knowledge of relational database structure and
concepts

• Use Case / Requirements documentation development 
• Detailed Business / software requirement development
• Experience with requirements management tools (Top Team, Rational, etc.)
• Facilitation skills
• Ability to comprehend data models
• Clear concise communication both written and oral
• Ability to work well with large and diverse teams both technical and
non-technical in nature
• SQL query skills
