KO Myung-Hun has released an update to the VLC media player on Hobbes.  

 The cross-platform open-source multimedia framework, player and server VLC
media player is a highly portable multimedia player and multimedia framework
capable of reading most audio and video formats (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, DivX,
MPEG-1, mp3, ogg, aac ...) as well as DVDs (including menus), Audio CDs VCDs,
and various streaming protocols. Read the readme.eng for installation
instructions. I've successfully run this on my T61 with eCS 2.0. It is great
to be able to play DVDs and even use the DVD menu. This package includes the
