tz> Well this is odd, so I installed terminate on and XP box , tz> and for grins I tz> inputed a telnet address for a phone number , It connected tz> to the bbs fine , tz> but is has some graphical issues . butthe fact that it can tz> connect to a bbs tz> is odd when using a telnet address for a phone number . any tz> how this is makes tz> me want to really dig into terminate, I wonder if its more tz> advanced for the tz> time them I thought . any how it does work in dos box , and tz> im going to play tz> with this telnet thing to see what i can figure out . If you are using it in DOSBox then the reason it works seemlessly is because the virtual modem in DOSBox will automatically resolve the phone number to an internet address. If Terminate was talking to a real serial port then it would not know how to dial a network ddress, and you'll probably get a NO DIALTONE straightaway. * Origin: (1:3634/12) |
