Kathryn Leigh Scott, Who Watches the Watchers. Crusher disobeys orders,
a pre-warp species learns about them, she takees KLS abord ship, and
then botches the memory wipe. Then, in what may be the most
spectacularly stupid sequence in the series (and that's saying some),
Picard proves to the natives that he's NOT a God by taking a shot in the
heart, dying, vanishing in twinkling light, and then reappearing in
twinkling light and saying "see? all better!"

No. Pulaski was completely competent, which dramatically is harder to
write than a total screw up like Crusher.

I did. So did TPTB, part of why they fired her

Relics is the only decent one there, and I still want to kick Geordie's
teeth in every time I watch it.
