And then the whale plot is never mentioned again, no asides from Picard and
his crew about this, or any of the other spin-offs? I know NG does refer back
to TOS in a loose way sometimes, and both series were active in the first
years of NG, such as Worf's grandfather as Kirk and McCoy's defense attorney
in ST 6.
I'm a very very latecomer to NG and have yet to even see any of the others,
although I tried to watch an episode of Voyager once, so this is a serious,
clueless but sinsere question.
