I seem to remember hearing that Discovery takes place about 10 years before the
original series.  If Pike only had a 5-year mission, I wonder if the Enterprise
was not used for 5 years or if there was a different captain before Kirk, or if
Discovery actually only takes place about 5 years before TOS?
