I kinda liked how the season ended. The whole Capt. Pike seeing his future, was
kinda a surprise, and cool at the same time. I love how even though (we?) I
never heard any of the storylines on Discovery, when it links stories to the
Enterprise, I get a few 'oh yeah!' moments from seeing all of those series!  

I am interested in what direction season 3 is gonna go in... (wonder when will
they bring Capt. Kirk in??)
