Hello,

what i really like about TNG are the first few episodes where there is some
TOS feeling around. In this early episodes not everything is so polished like
in later seasons and everything looks a lot more... cheaper made perhaps? 

Even if its not as much appreciated: I like Discovery (the second season)
too... especially the first episode of the second season has a great,
optimistic and energetic feeling due to Cpt. Pike in contrast to the darker
first season.
