Understood.  I've checked all the packed MSGs originating from the node and
they show up with the correctly formatted ftn datetime stamp.

Offhand it looks that way, especially considering it shows the correct
datetime on this machine as well as the node where the original was created.

Speaking for myself, I believe the FTN datetime stamp should get the
heave-ho.  The obsolete 2 digit year has always created problems even before
y2k.
