It seems that 4G is the maximum for that motherboard which, given the supplied
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ cpu, is more than fine (ie 4G per penguin).  Offhand it
looks like an up-to-date linux ought to live fine on there, alsough I wouldn't
expect it to be a good gaming or 4k streaming video or anything along that
nature.  A new Firefox might (probably) be an issue.  Other than that it
should be doable.

My biggest concern with these sorts of builds is power consumption.  Given the
limitations it is a real pig.
