Hey All!

Looking good so I'll take the liberty of starting a howto of sorts.

In this case the control file on this point is called 00991b59.hlo, the first
four characters being the bossnode's net address (hex), the last four the node
address. I put it as hold since it is a single user system and is never
accessed by anything or anyone else. The bsy extention is normally used to
avoid clashes.

Next this message will be referred to in 00991b59.hlo with a '^' tacked in
front to indicate it will be deleted once successfully transferred. It should
look something like; ^/out_dir/12345678.msg but I am not entirely sure exactly
what it will be called since I haven't saved it yet.

Once all messages have been entered and saved, the next step will to be to
poll the mothership something like this;

  netcat -w 10 -z 24554
  if [ "$?" -eq 0 ]
  then
    binkd -P 1:153/7001.0@fidonet -p ~/WeBeBashing/etc/binkd.cfg
  else
echo "Mothership is not reachable ... aborting."
    exit 10
  fi

I use netcat to scan for the open binkd port. Your mileage may vary. If the
poll is successful the message(s) referred to in 00991b59.hlo will be uploaded
for further processing on the mothership and my work is done (as the point man
that is).

It should be mentioned that ssh can be used for this instead of binkd but
where is the fun in that?

Life is good,
Maurice
