Hey mark!
I took the liberty of adding auxNet output to the gawk call as follows;
awk -F, 'printf("%d:%d/%d.%d -> %d:%d/%d.%d\nauxNet = %d\n", \
$16, $11, $1, $25, $17, $12, $2, $26, $18)}'
which results in the following output on the user's terminal;
-------------- example output of pkt-thingy starts
037c5856.pkt: Type 2+ pkt header
1:153/757.0 -> 1:153/7001.0
auxNet = 0
-------------- example output of pkt-thingy ends
Note that the above only happens when pkt-thingy encounters a type 2+ pkt
header. Also note that the origAddr and destAddr are both 4d despite the fact
that they aren't really points ... or are they? No matter since auxNet !=
65535 so no trigger is pulled ... not that there is a trigger ... yet. ;-)
Life is good,
Maurice
... Don't cry for me I have vi.
