   The final polls of the 2024 Senate race in Texas suggest the incumbent   
   Republican Ted Cruz will win reelection over his Democratic rival Colin   
   Allred.   
      
   Senator Cruz is predicted by forecasters to beat Allred in the November 5   
   race. Polling also indicates Cruz may win reelection by a greater margin   
   than in 2018, when he beat former Democratic Congressman Beto O'Rourke by   
   2.6 points.   
      
   Newsweek has contacted the Cruz and Allred campaign teams for comment via   
   email.   
      
   Allred, a congressman who currently represents Texas' 32nd District, has   
   been seeking to be the first Democrat to win a U.S. Senate race in Texas   
   since 1988. If Allred were to flip Cruz's Senate seat, it would play a   
   significant role in helping Democrats maintain control of the upper   
   chamber, where they currently hold a 51-49 seat majority.   
      
   Democrats have suggested Texas, along with Florida, could be in play for   
   the party in both the presidential and statewide elections on November 5.
