From: the.happy.hippy.nntp@ntlworld.invalid              https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c0mx3nv7zy8o                            Chancellor Rachel Reeves has decided against raising income tax rates at the       Budget later this month.                            Seems she has finally accepted that hiking income tax would be the final nail       in Labour's coffin if that hasn't been struck already.              I don't think anyone who could believe she was seriously considering doing it,       or couldn't see what a massive mistake it would be to do so.              It wasn't even rational when Starmer is desperate to appease racists, fascists       and the far right, to secure their votes. Did he really think they'd applaud       such a move, that anyone would ?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
