It's amusing that you are the one lying about the BBC lying.

The BBC hasn't fired anyone. Director General Tim Davie and Head of News
Deborah Turness both resigned, and neither were pushed.

And there is zero evidence either were involved in the actual editing.

In fact, most Brits would consider it a fair synopsis of the hours long event
and Trump speech which led up to the January 6th terrorist insurgency; 'they
stole the election. We are going to fuck them up. I'll be with you'.

And thus it came to pass, except Trump's "I'll be there with you" was a lie.
He fucked off back to Trump Tower to sit back and watch the terrorism he
incited unfold along with the rest of the world.

Most Brits consequently don't think the BBC have anything to apologise for,
and it's only the right wing calling for heads to roll which led to the
resignations. And they've long been trying to get the BBC cancelled.

Most agree with the BBC's assertion there is nothing deserved beyond an
apology for hurt feelings because -

It's taken a year for anyone to even notice it was supposedly defamatory or
   damaging.

The programme never aired in the US.

The programme was never made available to anyone outside the UK.

It was 12 seconds of an hour long programme which also voiced support for
   Trump.

   Trump was duly elected.

And it falls under the protection of Free Speech.

And it's beyond hypocritical that those who say lies must be accepted as Free
Speech to then insist that lies must be punished and paid for.

And no one here believes, if there were any damage done by the edit, that it
merits $1 BILLION in compensation. That's just Grifter Trump looking for
   another handout.

Cry Baby Trump should be grateful he got an apology and shut the fuck up, grow
   a pair.

As should you and all the other thin-skinned sissy wankers attacking the BBC.
