   to the Center for Responsive Politics. George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole and other   
   Republicans have received thousands.   
      
      
      
   Epstein tried to buy himself respect, influence and protection from   
   Republicans, Democrats and Independents, so why not simply admit it, why lie
