   Ukraine has agreed to an amended peace deal following negotiations with the   
   United States, American officials said.   
      
   Russia, however, has signalled it will reject changes to the original US   
   proposal that leaked last week.   
      
   Sir Keir Starmer's spokesman said Britain was continuing contingency plans for   
   potential peacekeeping deployments in Ukraine, despite objections from Moscow.   
      
      
      
   I guess we'll have to see what the amended peace plan now says, how much   
   Zelensky has achieved, and whether it survives the next time Putin tells Trump   
   what he will accept and won't.
