   Developers of an AI-powered app called CrimeRadar have apologised after we   
   found it had mistakenly sent multiple misleading, inaccurate and false crime   
   alerts to local communities across the US.   
      
   “It causes people to live in fear in a way that is not inherently rational   
   or match the actual level of caution that they should be displaying in their   
   lives,” said Jeff Asher, a leading US crime analyst.
