   approved a proclamation that declared the establishment of a Jewish state in   
   Eretz Israel, to be known as the State of Israel.   
      
   On 15 May the armies of Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iraq invaded,   
   launching the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.

   was an illegal and aggressive war with no legitimacy.   
      
   However, given whatever 'Donroe doctrine' they were operating under at the   
   time, it was clearly legitimate given every nation has the right to decide how   
   others behave and to end illegality, illegitimacy and threats to their   
   national security.   
      
   Likewise Tyrant Trump's 'Donroe doctrine' legitimises Hamas's attack upon   
   Israel on October 7th. They may have simply decided they needed to attack   
   Israel but under the 'Donroe doctrine' that is all that is needed to make it   
   legitimate.
