Racists always tar entire groups with the same brush. When it comes to their
own tribe they simply dismiss it or blame it on a few bad apples.

It was depressingly familiar to hear Trump blaming his latest Supreme Court
defeat in "foreign influences". Someone else is always to blame.

Newspaper headlines of "Randy Andy" might have been a hint that he was a dark
horse, needed to be reined in.

Britain has a long history of cover-up of scandals involving royalty,
aristocracy, the upper-classes, the elite and politicians, turning a blind eye
to dodgy behaviour, embracing those others wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

Criminals and crooks in the upper tier rarely face justice. meanwhile those
supporting a group they don't believe should ever have been proscribed are
   prosecuted as terrorists.
