   They gave us footie, tea, cake and a language that means   
   people in the far-away colonies can understand us on   
   Usenet... so I suppose in hindsight the British didn't do   
   a completely bad job!   
      
   We in return gave them roads, canals, railways, Guinness,   
   red-haired nurses with freckles... and Terry Wogan.
