For me, God and Satan are artificial constructs...       > people behave how the choose to behave off of their own backs.              Well you know evil is a parasitism of the good. There is no       evil that obtains power except through some other form of       goodness.              People in the present day are controlled by machines called       'television sets and radios' that in a lot of ways the people       worship as gods. Show a lot of pretty pictures and portray       a lot of sounds from these radio speakers and a lot of people       think that they are 'automatically rational' because of it.              Yet in a lot of ways these machines are much like the ancient       Roman arena. They exist in a lot of ways for entertainment, but       in a lot of ways perhaps nothing in them is true. There is also       the question 'what is holy'? As for books however there are       documents called 'Constitutions' and 'laws' that are also       types of words that can have different meanings. These documents       are artificial constructs.              Dawkins came up with the term 'meme' and it is not obvious where       'meme' ends and 'angel' or 'spirit' or 'mind' or 'idea' starts.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
