OK, fair enough. But be aware that according to the CHRS kludge your message
is encoded in a legacy as well...

AKAIK Synchronet BBS is capable of doing UTF-8. So I would expect it to reply
in UTF-8 when quote replying to a UTF-8 encoded message.
