I can go along with sacrficing the Yen sign for the 'a' with ring above. But sacrificing the pound sign? Life is making choices and when it comes to choosing between the Pound sign and the a with tilde, I choose the Pound. I think the Brittih made a mistake to not go for the Euro and keep the pound Sterling as their currency, but it is what it is and the Pound Sterling is still in wide spread use. OTOH, the only west European language that uses the 'a' with tilde is Portugese and there is only one Portugese sysop in Z2.
