So the latest official quote is the next season will be "14 big, blockbuster 
movie episodes" leading up to the 50th anniversary.

If they are actually the length of blockbuster movies, that would be cool 
and Moffat deserves credit for pulling that off.  Otherwise, it really 
sounds like the length of the seasons has been cut down to 6 normal episodes 
plus one special each year in 2012 and 2013.

Whenever I hear "blockbuster-movie" and "Doctor Who" mentioned in the same 
sentence, it reminds me of "War of the Daleks", since that was style that 
book was aiming for.
