In a message on Sunday 10-21-16 Ed Vance said to Holger Granholm:

Hi Ed,

HG> You read too much, and believe, that what you read is the only truth.

EV> I AM Selective about my reading but I occasionally read the views of
EV> others.

You say 'occasionally', but I think you read'em all.

EV> I had one big problem with Thunderbird when several thousand
EV> messages in the In-Box got cleared out after I compacted TB.

I have an unresolved problem with FaceBook. It has ceased to show the
new pictures sent to me. I don't yet know the cause.

EV> Recently I read a TB Web Page that said to move messages from the
EV> In-Box to another area.

You have several options in TB, but I prefer to copy/move messages that
I want to save, out of TB, because I think that 'Archive'd messages are
saved on the ISP, and available only as long as you are connected.

If you care about the space that the saved text messages occupy on your
HD, save them as *.txt files. That way you get rid of the MetaData that
is included in all Windows files, and you'll still have all the text.

EV> I learned that I must had accidently clicked the Link on MWB's
EV> screen to start the Trial Period for their Premium version.

EV> I think that Link is at the bottom right of the MWB window.

I'll check that sometime, but right now AVG and ZA are doing what they
are designed to, I think!!

But I still would like to get an anti advertising program.
As I wrote before, the AdAware program has now become a full-fledged
anti-virus program.

Yes they do, but I prefer VA as a sign off of a QSO.

Have a good night,

Holger
