If I really had to choose a windows version it'd either be Windows for
Workgroups 3.11 or Windows 98se. 
I still use windows 98se on a few old towers I have.. Even have a browser that
handles websites that aren't intense with javascript.  Even handles TLS 1.2.  I
sometimes use it for gaming, terminal usage using Putty or even jump on mIRC
once and awhile because why not! 

Hope this and many other echos spring back alive.
