ml> no... you have to log into your google account when you open the

O.K. Thanks.

ml> FWIW: i have an HP branded one here... it works pretty well but i miss
ml> some of the features that my tablet and phone have...

The one(s) I tried were 15 inch Acers because that is what my friend uses.

ml> my i5 iOS phone can tell me which direction i'm facing which is great
ml> for astronomy programs... my Lenovo tablet cannot... both can tell me
ml> the angle i'm looking into the sky... i haven't tried my chromebook
ml> with an astronomy program but i know that i cannot use google drive as
ml> a GPS like i can my tablet...

ml> if i'm lost in the woods? i hope i have my phone and its battery lasts
ml> long enough to get me out of the woods... neither my tablet nor
ml> chromebook can get me out of that situation by themselves... i mention
ml> again about the chromebook needing network access, too... as much as i
ml> hate it, my iphone is a much needed survival tool outside a real
 ml> compass and paper/laminated map...

I have a GoPhone but I called and asked to have Data and Messaging Turned
Off on it.
I use it as a Ten Cent a Minute Telephone when away from home.
