AA>> https://kolico.ca/tmp/eee1-2302.jpg SW> Your provider might be using a different port. Have you SW> had a look on there website for that information? Yep. They even have specific steps for different versions of Outlook all the way back to Outlook 2000. But all of them essentially document pop3/995/SSL and smtp/465/SSL. I did some testinging and the smtp stamps the header with "esmtp". So, at least the sent messages are using the newer protocal when smtp/465/SSL is configured. However.. the login creds are probably still in the clear. :( SW> It seams weird that they support an encrypted sending SW> connection, but not for receiving. Yep. From further reading on this matter, one tech article that I found mentions that it seems to be an issue addressed by Microsoft Knowledge Base articles 315049 and 304008: https://support.tigertech.net/outlook-2007-ssl ..but the links for the article do not go to specific articles. So.. something is definately broken in Outlook or even XP itself. Perhaps I can try a newer Outlook 200x that will still work with XP. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.57 * Origin: (2:221/1.58) SEEN-BY: 1/123 15/0 90/1 105/81 106/201 633 987 120/340 123/131 124/5014 SEEN-BY: 124/5016 129/305 130/330 153/7715 218/700 226/30 227/114 SEEN-BY: 229/110 111 112 113 114 206 307 317 400 424 426 428 452 470 SEEN-BY: 229/550 664 700 266/512 280/464 282/1038 292/854 317/3 320/219 SEEN-BY: 322/757 342/200 387/25 26 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 PATH: 221/1 280/464 396/45 229/426 |
