I hate them too.

I resized the message window to an appropriate width (a bit more than the
quoted text) and it's fine for me.
I think that Winpoint remembers the last size (will test later).

Please don't hit Enter if it's not the end of the paragraph. :-) It may not
look good depending on the device.
